The building, which features neoclassical-style architecture with fine decorative details, underwent several renovations during the 20th and 21st centuries to preserve its elegance and functionality. The restoration of the floors of the Baku National Theater required great attention to detail, with special care taken to reproduce the decorative inlays, typical of the time when the theater was built.
Project phases:
- Historical study and research: the Berti Flooring team worked with restoration experts to analyze the original surfaces.
- Design and sampling: prototypes were created to verify aesthetic and functional adherence to historical design.
- Cutting and woodworking: thanks to theuse of lasers, absolute precision in detail has been guaranteed.
- Handcrafted laying: the parquet was installed using traditional techniques to maintain thehistoric authenticity of the structure.
- Finishing and protection: to preserve the beauty of the wood, specific treatments have been applied to ensure its durability.
Berti Flooring ‘s intervention produced an extraordinary result, in which the inlaid parquet contributes to thetheater’s regal and elegant atmosphere.
