Santo Passaia: an exclusive concept of living

To design environments and furnishings of a high level both in terms of quality and size, to create unrepeatable interiors designed for a niche target, a lover of beauty and classicism, of authentic “made in Italy.” This is the mission of Santo Passaia, a Verona-based company that has been passionately popularizing an exclusive and luxurious, absolutely distinctive philosophy of living for sixty years.

Specializing in the creation of true “jewels of cabinetry,” of locations of considerable decorative and functional importance, the company has always collaborated with the best masters of interior design (one example is the architect Luigi Bruno, inspirer of great projects), in order to create interior architecture tailored to the personal taste of those who are to live and inhabit them. A philosophy that first and foremost espouses the unmistakable and classic style of “boiserie in the round,” expressed and declined, often modernly reinterpreted, in any context and sphere: from the private villa to the business interior, from the hotel contract to the naval and yacht sector.

At the heart of each realization, the project and the construction: the “project” understood as the creativity and imagination of the designer in conceiving unique environments drawing from the great Italian artistic and architectural tradition; the “construction” that is, the art of creating original and unparalleled works by employing a noble and ancient raw material such as wood, worked and shaped through the manual skill of expert craftsmen and cabinetmakers, but also through advanced techniques and state-of-the-art machinery. Precisely in light of the latter concept, the company is always seeking fruitful partnerships with companies specializing in woodworking, ready to pursue excellence by masterfully blending artisan knowledge with advanced technologies, Italian creative flair with an innate vocation for challenge.

In this regard, and on the occasion of the 25th edition of Abitare Il Tempo in Verona, Santo Passaia wanted to exhibit together with Berti Pavimenti Legno an important project, studied in close synergy with the skilled workers and the Technical Department of the Villa del Conte-based company. It was the presentation of an unprecedented salon intended for a luxury residence, in which the floor, often neglected by modern interior architecture, had a fundamental role: to convey to the user the sense of beauty and balance of the entire environment.

A perfect mirror of the ceiling structure, the wooden flooring designed by Berti had in fact to dialogue, in form and design, with all the surrounding architecture, in full respect of symmetry and proportions. Developed on a total surface area of 65 square meters, the prestigious parquet included a teak background on which stood out, in the center of the sumptuous room, a Rizzardi model decoration made with maple, oak, cabreuva and doussié inlays.

Framing this highly refined central work are numerous Bigli model borders, alternating with Ghellini quadrotte from the Disegni collection. The flooring, designed and materialized for the specific project of Santo Passaia, represents a further confirmation of Berti ‘s ability to respond in a timely manner to the requests of the most demanding clients, offering a product that stands out for its absolute technical quality and high aesthetic value.
