Rosenheim faculty visiting Berti Flooring
Berti Flooring Wood welcomed students of the Master’s Degree in Wood Techniques from the Rosenheim Faculty to its headquarters. An international class of about 30 students, curious and passionate about the subject, including Afghans, Iraqis, Indians, Africans, Germans, French and Italians, accompanied by Professor Frieder Scholz. After a presentation of the company’s logistical capacity, from goods storage to material entry and exit processes, Massimo and Matteo Berti gave a specific exposition on prefinished wood production: from moulding techniques, carried out with very high-precision machinery using diamond tools, to the processes of gluing the substrate to the noble part of the wood.
This was followed by showing how and where the preparation of raw materials takes place; the seasoning of the material; the cutting of the lamellas that make up the noble part of the oak in essence; the preparation of the birch support; and the gluing and pressing.
Accompanied by the enthusiastic spirit of the young students of the Rosenheim Faculty, Berti Flooring showed the cutting and composition departments.
This is where an art as old as woodworking is applied to modern technology where Berti Flooring is constantly engaged. In this department, the numerically controlled laser technique enables the creation of the wonderful inlays, borders, and squares.

Near the end of the meeting saw the state-of-the-art equipment and water-based coating techniques that Berti Flooring adopts for its valuable products.
The tour ended, of course, with a demonstration of the finishes. With these processes, our artisans make the Berti product meticulous in its details and personalized.
Imagination and creativity take shape with different techniques of brushing, finishing, planing and various treatments that can accommodate the latest design trends and embellish rooms with the naturalness and beauty of parquet.
Then, at the end of the Company’s presentation, together with the students, we gathered in front of an Italian-flavored buffet for farewells, all of us truly satisfied with the good experience during the day, which proved to be highly educational for all present. We hope to repeat such occasions soon!
