Parquet floors and future prospects: an AIPI event
Berti Wood Flooring Friday, Nov. 12, hosted the first event after this long period of inactivity due to the pandemic: “New Opportunities and a New Vision for the Professional Future,” organized by the Triveneto delegation of AIPI Italian Association of Interior Designers.
The goal of this event, in total compliance with anti-covid regulations, was to bring together architecture and interior design professionals to develop new ties by telling future prospects.
During the morning, guests were introduced to the company and its long history handed down from father to son for three generations now. The various collections offered on the market were then analyzed and described with their peculiarities and, with a future perspective, the guests were told about the new projects underway, oriented no longer only to wood flooring; in fact, Berti has been orienting itself for some time now to other product types in the furniture sector, while always maintaining the strong component of the material wood.
A clear example of this new change of direction is the “Bathroom Floor“project, which, by using parquet on the floor and wood on the countertops, aims to recreate a relaxing atmosphere and a return to purity in the most intimate environment of the domestic landscape.
Another example of the alternative use of wood in the home environment is its application as a wall covering; Berti is working on creating a very thin and for this reason very versatile wood veneer product that with the help of digital printing can be customized with any graphics without any kind of visual limitation.
These are just some of the new projects put in place by Berti, which is always at the forefront and looking for future prospects and different stimuli to occupy new rooms in the house, to make it with the help of wood a cozy place tailored to any need.
Following this focus was a tour of the company’s production department to show the various stages of wood processing: devising, gluing, painting, framing, profiling, and surface treatment; and to give guests a chance to become more familiar with the products and the different techniques for making them.

Immediately afterwards, guests were taken on a tour of the Berti Guest House to admire, while enjoying an aperitif, the precious details of the inlaid flooring with mother-of-pearl inserts and precious woods.

The second part of the day was devoted to theItalian Association of Interior Designers, chaired by Antonio De Antonis and vice-president Nicola Grandolini and coordinated by Veneto delegate Giorgio Cunico.
Aipi is an association that was founded in 1969 by a group of leading architects and designers in Milan, including Franz Sartori and Del Lago, soon joined by Magistretti and Castiglioni.
The mission of this association is to bring together professionals in the field of architecture and interior design to cooperate in order to raise awareness for good design.

This was just the first event in a long series of events to reach out to all Italian designers registered with the association.
