IntroducingMother Teresa Association

We believe that the time has come to give more and more visibility to an activity that our family and our company have been carrying on for years now, namely theMother Teresa Association, founded in March 2004 and carried on by many people rich in willpower who have shared the same values with us.

TheMother Teresa Association was established to promote sensitivity, with the aim of helping the most vulnerable people in our society, both locally and in other countries, and to collaborate with other organizations or institutions.

Almost 8 years after her birth, Mother Teresa can count on the contribution of our store, located a few kilometers from Berti’s headquarters. Everything displayed inside the store is donated and the entire amount is donated to charity without any deduction of expenses. The store is run by a group of volunteers who provide generous service every day.

We started 72 long-distance adoptions in Brazil and India that are still active today.

Since 2005 we have been supporting a girl from Sierra Leone named Madu, who was brought to Italy for major maxillofacial surgery because she could not feed herself normally. She now lives in a group home here in Italy and has had improvements.

Also worth mentioning is our collaboration with CUAMM Doctors with Africa of Padua to build 3 water wells in Ethiopia and a pediatrics ward for child malnutrition, a cause of high mortality.

We also make an annual contribution to Bea Petrape Brazil for the training and recovery of street children for a more dignified life.

Since 2009, we have been supporting various activities of the Indian Sisters of Calcutta: from lunch for the poor on the occasion of Mother Teresa’s centenary celebration, to sustaining the poorest through the construction of a house, a well, and the purchase of medicines and basic necessities.

A church in Côte d’Ivoire was also built, and we made a contribution to the construction work of a school in Congo.

The Association, again with the contribution of the Berti company, maintains continuous relations with the Cooperatives il Graticolato and Ginestra; which promote the social and labor insertion of people with physical and mental disabilities and social distress, providing them with manual labor for the composition of special floors.

We provided wood for the rooms of a women’s orphanage that takes in orphans from the Bosnian war, and in the same area we entirely built the indoor chapel.

Our wood flooring was also able to help the splendid work of the Solidarity Village of Mirano, which gathers supportive families in several apartments and takes in people at risk of social exclusion.

Instead, for this year, our projects are: building a school for 200 children and young people in Sierra Leone; and building some cottages for poor families who are forced to live on the streets of Calcutta.

Our association is committed and guarantees the success of the projects by having trusted people and documentation of completed projects. We will continue to talk about this topic from time to time trusting to involve many people who want to do good through Mother Teresa Association guided by the spirit of seriousness, fairness and transparency!

All donations are made by check so that you can verify the traceability of your contribution at all times.

For all other information you can visit the Association’s official website.
