Berti presents: between design and recycling, diy, touch and madness
We had fun spying in these first weeks of 2013 on various design blogs and portals to see what are the main trends emerging for the coming season especially when it comes tointerior design.
We have “remixed” indications, advice, visions and predictions thus obtaining a series of really interesting and evocative trends that we have listed here in ten points according to our personal taste preference. So there you have it, Berti Pavimenti Legno’s top ten in terms of design and trends:
1) Plant colors, eco-friendly fabrics, recycled materials and “DIY style” for tables, lamps and various objects: the parquet in this regard offers many ideas.

2) Moss-covered furniture and green spaces for urban gardens: in fact, moss has the advantage of not needing to be watered and does not grow.
3) Animal shapes as micro-trends: lamps shaped like dogs, tables shaped like cows and ostrich, animals printed in fabrics, furry stools, and wallpaper filled with butterflies.

4) Precisely wallpaper marks a return to the past, a rediscovery with a vintage flavor, also linked to the use of flowers (or animals precisely) as a decoration motif.

5) Lace and lace: just to keep with the vintage theme, these materials and their workmanship will also be “dusted off.”

6) Green-Pantone Emerald Green-was voted color of the year in 2013, and will be a major player for fabrics and accessories along with yellow.

7) Brass details and furnishings: again a rediscovery with a retro flavor, a typical mood of the 1970s that is now making a comeback.
8 ) The sense of touch: tactile qualities of textiles and objects, importance of textures and texture .
9) The role of the male figure to be enhanced, as men spend more and more time in the home and thus participate more actively in design and decorating decisions.
10) A touch of originality, happiness and madness: it will no longer be enough to buy a chair, but it will have to be a chair that makes people smile. Materials and objects will be used that are seemingly out of context and to be recontextualized according to personal meanings, in a spontaneous and almost childlike way: measuring cups as flowerpots, forks and spoons hanging from the chandelier, sofas covered with old jeans.

We hope you’ve enjoyed this quick roundup of aesthetic input we’ve provided; it’s not always easy to navigate your way through all these cyclical news and fads; we like to keep a keen eye on everything happening in our industry.
We will be coming soon with some interesting and original new insights, to broaden the perspective from wood flooring and specific choices for floor coverings and investigate the choices that go with parquet flooring and complement the decor of our spaces.
