Berti at Project Lebanon 2013

Also Berti participated in the fair Project Lebanon 2013. The first time we took part in a fair in Beirut, thanks to the now established presence of our partner Parwood. We got to know Riad well, who was featured in an interview on these pages a few months ago.

From June 4 to 7, more than 21,000 visitors including professionals and industries, totaling more than 700 participants from 26 countries. The fair was enthusiastically attended by the public, who were able to visit the more than 25,000 square meters of exhibition space.
A perfect opportunity for Berti to consolidate relations with Riad El Kaddoum, owner of the Parwood store that he runs with the invaluable help of his wife Rita.

For our company, Matteo Berti, a marketing director who has been following the development and growth of such an important market as the Middle East with a keen eye for several years now, went to coordinate the set-up work and follow the hectic days of the fair presence.
We immediately took the opportunity to ask Matteo Berti a couple of questions, taking advantage of the enthusiasm still vivid for an experience that ended only a few days ago.

First time at the fair in Beirut, what did we choose to show for our presence?

This was Parwood’s first participation in an event of this magnitude-the passion could almost be touched. While Berti has by now developed a long-standing experience in managing and preparing for international events, seeing the reaction and positivity of those facing such opportunities for the first time reminds us why we love our work so much. The booth was medium-sized: we wanted to try to offer the full range of Berti and BertiStudio products, compatible with the space available. Of course, special attention was paid to inlays, with quadrottes, wood and steel inlays, and Palladio: custom inlays that take advantage of the latest design techniques to create a unique and unrepeatable floor.

What are the expectations for the fair and for the Lebanese market in general?

The Beirut and Lebanon market considered as a whole is experiencing a period of strong expansion: construction activities are seeing growth with a positive correlation that has effects in adjacent markets and in the growth of design inspiration taste.

What did we bring home from this experience?

It was a few days but very dense with satisfaction: it rewarded a team and side-by-side work with Riad and Rita, Graziella and Corrado Mulfari, Berti’s area head for the Middle East area.
Without a doubt, it was a unique opportunity: a trade fair event of such resonance allowed us to expand our relational network, discuss and work for future prospects and identify growth opportunities in this market.
