Back from the Deco Fair in Jeddah…
We have just returned from yet another good adventure, every experience abroad teaches us something, because we leave with a load of expectations but above all curiosity and return home with a suitcase full of unexpected ideas and a nice list of new contacts and projects to baste.
We had already been to Jeddah for the Deco Fair last year, and this for Berti Pavimenti Legno represented the second participation in the important fair in Saudi Arabia. Crucial in this context was the figure of Corrado Mulfari of Alkayan Decor (our exclusive distributor for Arab countries), Berti ‘s real trait d ‘union with the world and the Arab market that is constantly moving and rising. We had already mentioned these new business dynamics a few months ago in a video interview, when we were visited by Rami Bambouk, also from Alkayan Decor.

The “Decoration and Home Accessories Exhibition” in Jeddahhawas attended over the course of five days by more than 600 international exhibitors on an area of about 10,000 square meters.
Another important fact to think about: Berti‘s was the only Italian presence in the wood flooring sector within the Arab kermesse, and this represents another reason to be proud of our work and business strategies.
In addition to being the only representatives of Made In Italy in our specific sector, we were able to count on the physical proximity of several prestigious brands, with whom we partnered and with whom we began a dialogue: we are talking about Missoni Home, Fendi Casa, Kenzo Maison, Jean Paul Gaultier for Roche Bobois.
Markets and especially different cultures can sometimes generate fear simply because they are unfamiliar. We have been talking about “globalization” for several years now, and yet so many clichés and clichés still persist.
Tackling a new market means, above all, establishing business, cultural, and personal ties in an increasingly broad, dense, and unstructured network that is difficult to circumscribe but increasingly rich in possibilities and surprises, with the possibility of continuous comparison and the advantage of being able to monitor and touch on what are the most up-to-date trends in our industry.
That said, we certainly do not want to stop now but rather increase our efforts to continue in this direction!
